Zinio, LLC Captures 61% Market Share in Digital Magazine Circulation


Company Surpasses 200 Titles, Signs Hachette Filapacchi; Expands Hearst, Primedia, Time Inc.

San Francisco, CA (October 28, 2004) - Zinio, LLC, worldwide leader in digital magazine production, distribution and circulation has expanded its market leadership with 61% market share of average issue circulation among audited digital magazines and is now the first provider to sign 200 titles, including digital editions from new partners Hachette Filipacchi and Institutional Investor, and expanded business with Hearst, Primedia, and Time Inc. Separately, the company also announced today a significant increase in global distribution of its solutions.

According to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) and BPA Worldwide publisher statements, Zinio captured 61% market share of all audited digital magazine circulation. Zinio also delivers 12 of the top 17 publications based on audited digital circulation.

Since March 2002, Zinio has delivered more than 26 million digital magazines to more than 1.6 million customers in 232 countries. The company's stable of 200 popular titles from 61 major publishers includes the recent addition of general interest, hobbyist and business magazines, such as Car and Driver, Cycle World, Sound & Vision and Institutional Investor. New digital editions from existing customers include Business 2.0, CosmoGIRL!, Cosmopolitan, Home Theater, SHOP Etc!, and Stereophile Ultimate AV.
